Salernitana are going from one former Roma executive to another following the departure of Walter Sabatini.
Early this evening the Campanian side announced they appointed Morgan De Sanctis, the former Roma goalkeeper and director, as their new sporting director.
De Sanctis, 45, left the Giallorossi in February after he spent the previous five years in various roles at the club.
“Salernitana announces the club has reached and agreement with Morgan De Sanctis, appointing him with the role of Sporting Director of the club,” they wrote on their website.
“This choice is part of a broader vision and a new, dynamic project aimed at innovating the way we perceive football.”
The former shot-stopper arrives after the club parted ways with Sabatini, who spent only six months with the club.
