Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini – currently in charge of Salernitana – spoke about tonight’s Conference League final involving his former side.

“Tonight I will cheer with all my heart for Rome, so that they can bring a piece of Europe back to Italy,” he told Corriere dello Sport.

“It will be a hard-fought game,” he continued. “Feyenoord know how to play offensive football, but Roma can find a technical-tactical solution because they have a solid defence and a great striker in Abraham.”

“Roma have acquired a killer instinct thanks to Mourinho.”

Finally, Sabatini made a special mention regarding Roma’s fanbase. “The stadium has always been a show this year and today they will fill the Olimpico even if the final is played elsewhere.”

“They are incredible, in my mind they are unique. The Friedkins have been great at fully understanding this passion.”
