Salernitana executive Maurizio Milan complained about the refereeing display after his team were defeated 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport.
Milan was asked about the refereeing decisions in light of Walter Sabatini’s angry outburst following the final whistle.
“On Sunday we dealt with yet another very mediocre refereeing display. From card management to made up free kicks: this was the confirmation of the mediocrity of the Italian refereeing class.”
“The pressure Roma applied on the referee for every decision was there for everyone to see,” he added.
“This is the kind of context of written and unwritten rules where the FIGC must intervene.”
