Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino spoke to ANSA about his side’s unfortunate track record from a refereeing standpoint.
Iervolino maintained that his team did not deserve to go down on Sunday after leading for the majority of the match.
“Refereeing mistakes happen perhaps most of all to Salernitana – not only to us, but most of the time we’re at the end of a costly refereeing mistake,” said the club owner.
“Which obviously reduces our chances to stay in Serie A, we must face it.”
He added,” The game against Roma was brilliant – there was so much energy, and we played much better than Roma for eighty minutes, but ultimately the refereeing episodes doomed us.”
