After securing a deal for midfielder Tonny Vilhena, Salernitana are pushing to finalise another transfer acquisition ahead of Sunday evening’s opening fixture against Roma.
Ansa is reporting the Campania based-side opened transfer talks with Sampdoria surrounding wide-man Antonio Candreva and the clubs are getting closer to an agreement.
Entering the final year of his deal with Samp, Candreva has already given his representatives the green light on the move, already agreeing to a two-year contract with Salernitana, who will pay a fee of €1.5 million for the Italian.
The parties are pushing to finalise the deal in the coming hours, pushing to make it official before Serie A kicks-off this weekend.
The veteran is coming off one of the best seasons of his career where he tallied 7 goals and 12 assists for the Genovese side during the 2021/22 campaign.
