Former Roma defender Federico Fazio completed a January switch to Salernitana in an effort to help them avoid relegation.
After succeeding in doing so, Fazio is now eager to face his former side on match-day one of the 22/23 campaign.
“I feel well, and I hope to play as many games as possible,” the veteran defender told Lega Serie A.
“It will be nice to face Roma on the first league match-day in our stadium,” he added. “I’m looking forward to that. It will be a special game for me.”
“Such showdowns really excite me, but I also want to reach 150 appearances in Serie A.”
