Salernitana’s Morgan De Sanctis: “Calafiori and Felix are not a priority for us.”

Former Roma director Morgan De Sanctis – now in charge of Salernitana’s sporting area – addressed Salernitana’s transfer window and specifically answered questions regarding their rumored interest in Roma’s Riccardo Calafiori and Felix Afena-Gyan.

“There are ongoing evaluations for Calafiori and Felix,” admitted De Sanctis in an interview with tuttosalernitana. “But they are not priorities.”

“I left Roma and if I make a deal with this club I have to be perfect. I cannot afford to make mistakes.”

“It will be done if we are convinced of it, otherwise we will look elsewhere. There are many strong players there who made their debut with the first team, or came from obscure regions of the world and have developed quickly.”

When asked to comment on his exit from the capital, De Sanctis replied, “I left Roma in February, with another three years left on my contract because I thought my mandate in that club had come to an end.”
