RB Salzburg manager Matthias Jaissle led his side to an initial 1-0 win over Roma in the first leg of the Europa League knockout round.
The young technician hinted, however, at a much more complicated return leg in the Italian capital next week.
“It was definitely a tough and very disciplined game on our part. It is a great compliment because it is not automatic at this age to beat a team as mature and with great quality as Roma. I am very satisfied with this performance,” Jaissle said in an interview with his club.
“Now we have to go to Rome with the confidence that this game has given us and I expect the team to play with the same courage there too.”
“But I also keep saying we will face a really strong team at their home, with a world-class coach and they will push us to the limit. If we can do what we did today, to be disciplined, with a little luck, we can advance to the next round.”
