Sampdoria manager Marco Giampaolo wasn’t too mad at his boys for going down against Roma.

The former Torino boss spoke very highly of his side’s attitude in tonight’s clash with Mourinho’s men.

“We played the way we were supposed to, I’m not dissatisfied with the boys’ performance tonight,” he told DAZN.

“We didn’t get the result we hoped for. We stayed in it until the very end.”

He added, “Surely Roma are a more quality side, but we managed to hide this disparity and conceded very little.”

“We too created little, I think it was a balanced match then. Roma won, congratulations to them. Sampdoria gave the performance I expected, I didn’t mind the collective attitude, apart from some technical errors.”
