Less than two weeks away from facing Roma at the Luigi Ferraris stadium in Genova, Sampdoria have appointed their new manager.
Following the sacking of Marco Giampaolo earlier in the week, the Blucerchiati have selected Dejan Stankovic as the first team boss.
Stankovic left Red Star Belgrade in August and was the favorite to land the Samp managerial vacancy with Roma legend Daniele De Rossi rumoured to be a close second option.
