Sampdoria join race for Eldor Shomurodov

Eldor Shomurodov continues to draw interest in Italy ahead of the January transfer window.

The Uzbek striker has been linked with several clubs over the past few weeks as he pushes to exit Roma in January in search of consistent playing time.

Sampdoria have now joined the race for the ex-Genoa man, reports Corriere dello Sport.

Roma want to make an eventual transfer for Shomurodov permanent.

However, the Italian newspaper reports that the capital club are also likely to accept a proposal based on a loan with obligation to buy which could be the formula that Sampdoria are to present in the coming weeks.
