With Marco Giampaolo a step away from joining Milan, Sampdoria are eyeing a new manager. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that yesterday in Rome, Samp president Ferrero met with ex-Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, who asked for technical and economic guarantees: on the plate there’s a request of at least two years for €2 million. A meeting is expected between Sampdoria director Carlo Osti and the ex-Sassuolo manager, but it will not be easy to convince him to accept the job. For this reason, Stefano Pioli remains an option.
