Sampdoria’s Alex Ferrari discusses next Sunday’s Roma clash

Sampdoria defender Alex Ferrari

Sampdoria defender Alex Ferrari was interviewed by Tuttomercatoweb and discussed next Sunday’s upcoming league affair against Roma.

The Blucerchiati host Jose Mourinho’s side next weekend at the Ferraris stadium with both teams coming off important victories.

Just before the international break, Samp snapped their three match losing streak by defeating Venezia 2-0 in Veneto. Roma, meanwhile, dismantled city rivals Lazio 3-0 in the Derby della Capitale.

“Roma are in a good moment after their victory in the Derby,” Ferrari said.

“They’re a team that reflects the personality of their manager. They’ll arrive in Genova to fight for every ball and we’ll do the same.”

He continued, “The international break is a mental recharge for everyone. It allows those who were injured or out of form to get back into the right physical condition.”

“They can be a huge help to everyone. We’ll starting preparing for Roma after the weekend but the fact we’ll have additional time to prepare for them could assist us.”
