New Sampdoria manager Dejan Stanković will have to do without central defender Jeison Murillo in the match against Roma next Monday.
After playing the full 90 minutes on Saturday against Bologna, the Colombian fell to the ground at full-time and was seen clutching his hamstring after the team’s 1-1 draw.
Earlier today, the 30 year-old underwent follow-up scans which showed evidence of a muscle strain. As a result, he’ll miss out on next week’s clash against the Giallorossi at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
Meanwhile, the Ligurian club didn’t announce a timetable for his return but he’s expected to be out of action until January.
He’s expected to be replaced in Sampdoria’s formation by 28 year-old Alex Ferrari.
