Sampdoria’s Sabiri still on Roma’s shopping list

Abdelhamid Sabiri has been perhaps one of the few bright spots in Sampdoria’s extremely poor opening to the season. The Moroccan midfielder is being linked with the Giallorossi who had already expressed interest in him earlier in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, despite having renewed his contract with the Blucerchiati in the final days of the summer window, Sabiri continues being a concrete transfer target for Fiorentina and Roma.

Sampdoria managed to wave off interest from several clubs in July and August but could potentially lose out on Sabiri as soon as January given their terrible league form in this year’s Serie A campaign.

Roma remain interested as they consider Sabiri a solid reinforcement for their midfield.
