Sampdoria fullback Bartosz Bereszyński applauded fellow Polish international Nicola Zalewski after last night’s performance at the Marassi Stadium.
Bereszyński spoke to Il Secolo XIX. “We played a good game against a great team,” he said.
“We could have snatched some points, but nonetheless we stayed in it until the end. We have to keep going with our heads held high.”
On Zalewski, the 29-year-old fullback said, “He’s strong, fast and has improved a lot.”
“He’s a really good player. This time around he won the duel but we’ll see each other again soon.”
