Santon out for tomorrow’s Europa League tie against CSKA Sofia

Roma will be without defender Davide Santon for tomorrow’s Europa League tie in Rome against CSKA Sofia.

The 29 year-old tweaked a muscle in his left thigh and will be unavailable for tomorrow’s group match against the Bulgarian side. The former Inter man will undergo examinations to better understand how long the injury will keep him out for.

Meanwhile, Rick Karsdorp will take Santon’s place alongside manager Paulo Fonseca for today’s pre-match press conference. The Dutchman, who was a starter in Monday’s 3-3 draw against Milan at the San Siro, will battle with Bruno Peres for a starting place in tomorrow’s match.
