Santos management threaten Marcos Leonardo with legal action

Santos are unhappy with the way Marcos Leonardo has been pushing to depart the club in favor of Roma.

The 20-year-old attacker recently refused to be involved in any type of team activity with Santos – thus skipping training sessions and games – as he continues to insist on completing his transfer to Roma.

The Giallorossi’s offer, however, is being deemed insufficient by Santos whose director – Alexandre Gallo – recently spoke about the possibility of pursuing legal action against Leonardo and his entourage.

“We spoke with Leonardo’s agent and the player himself and, for our part, the situation is clear,” Gallo told UOL Esporte.

“We hope we can count on him starting with Monday’s training session. If this does not happen, we will take action through our legal department. The offer that was presented to us does not satisfy our president.”
