Santos manager Diego Aguirre once again expressed his wish for Marcos Leonardo to stay despite his rumored move to Roma.
Following the Brazilian side’s 4-0 loss with Fortaleza in Aguirre’s coaching debut at Santos, the manager was asked about Marcos Leonardo’s future.
“I think Marcos Leonardo will end up staying with us in order to help the team,” Aguirre told the media after the game. “That is my guess. We need him.”
“I hope an agreement will be reached between him and the executives. It is very important for the team that he comes back and helps us between now and the end of the year,” said Aguirre as his team battle to avoid relegation.
