Roma continue to work on the transfer of Marcos Leonardo from Santos.

Due to the various on-going issues within Santos’ top management, negotiations for Leonardo have stalled over recent days as the Brazilian side seem reluctant in selling the 20-year-old at this moment in time.

The player, however, is prioritizing his move to Roma and refuses to train with Santos.

Earlier reports suggested that Leonardo is strained emotionally by the way Santos have handled his transfer request.

According to TNT Sports, Santos have even gone as far as offering Leonardo a major salary increase in order to try and persuade him to stay.
