Roma have made an offer for Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo.

The latest whispers from Brazil claim that Roma have matched the release clause in Leonardo’s contract.

According to esportes.r7.com, the Giallorossi have in fact bid €15 million which should be enough to trigger Leonardo’s release clause.

The news portal reports that Santos have the right to turn down this offer, but this decision will force them to give Leonardo a significant salary boost.

At the same time, Santos have reportedly secured Leonardo’s replacement in Julio Furch from Atlas and are now reflecting on Roma’s offer.
