Good news for Jose Mourinho who is expected to be able to rely on Sardar Azmoun already in the coming days.

The Iran striker went down with an apparent injury in Roma’s recent encounter with Fiorentina at Stadio Olimpico.

Azmoun had come on early in the first half, replacing Paulo Dybala (who is now set to miss the next 3 weeks), and was eventually taken off the pitch and replaced himself with Stephan El Shaarawy.

Today, Azmoun underwent medical tests which did not evidence any serious damage to the calf muscle.

According to Filippo Biafora of il Tempo, Azmoun’s return is expected to take place on a day-to-day basis ahead of the match against Bologna.

Similarly, Leonardo Spinazzola is also likely to recover in the coming days after experiencing muscle soreness.
