Sassuolo boss Alessio Dionisi: “I hope Roma will be tired tomorrow.”

Sassuolo manager Alessio Dionisi previewed tomorrow’s Serie A fixture with Roma at Stadio Olimpico.

Dionisi addressed Roma’s strengths and the factor of fatigue potentially affecting Mourinho’s men tomorrow.

“Roma are a strong, physical team with important individual players,” Dionisi told reporters.

“There is also a packed stadium, it will be sold out, and it will be nice to measure up against this crowd. They will certainly want to beat us but it could also be an advantage for us in some respects.”

“That’s my hope, honestly – to face a Roma side that will be tired after their Europa League match. We know that it’s difficult to match their quality and their physicality because they have important players.”

“We will have to be able to make up for it with the team because we have some individual qualities but we are growing as a team. Tomorrow we will have to be as good as possible, otherwise it will end up like against Napoli where we were good but not perfect, let’s hope that Thursday’s match has worn Roma down a bit.”
