Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali expects ‘heated’ talks for David Frattesi

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali discussed Roma target Davide Frattesi’s future ahead of the summer window.

In an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, Carnevali said he expects a very active summer with regards to negotiations for Frattesi who has also caught the attention of Juventus and several Premier League clubs.

“To date, the market period fortunately has not yet open. A complicated moment ended for us in January, because every time the transfer market is open, Sassuolo always gets into a bit of trouble,” said the Italian executive.

“We know that Frattesi may receive important offers, which was also the case last year,” he continued.

“It’s true that Roma got very close to him, among other things we have an excellent relationship with the Giallorossi, especially considering our past deals including the likes of Marchizza, Pellegrini and Politano.”

“Due to his characteristics, I think Frattesi is a player who can also aspire to the top level of the Premier League. I have no doubt that there will be some heated talks for him this coming summer.”
