Roma continue to be in the race for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.
The extensive negotiations with the Neroverdi have been more complicated due to the simultaneous interest of Inter and Milan.
Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali shared an update on the situation in an interview with Sky Sport.
“There isn’t a team that could be labelled a clear favorite in this race,” said the Italian executive.
“We have a good relationship with Roma, we closed two deals for Volpato and Missori before the 30th because they needed it.”
“They were the first ones to ask us last year about Frattesi but we were too distant in the evaluation of the fee for the player. This year we are already much closer,” he added.
