Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali addressed the recent rumours of Roma’s attempt to bring Frattesi to the Italian capital in the January window in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
The Italian director admitted he expects Roma to reignite their interest in the midfielder. “He is a young lad who has made his own path by choosing to play even in lower divisions. He has been with us for a few years, this year he is expressing himself well and has great potential.”
“I’m waiting to receive a call from Roma, but also from other clubs as well. He is a player to whom we would like to give the chance to go to a great club: in this sense we have never refused anything to anyone, if our demands are met.”
“He knows that he has to grow a little more, do something more, I am convinced that in the second half of the season he will be even better. In the summer we will see what kind of possibilities there are. There have already been some offers, even if not directly from Roma, but also from abroad. I doubt we will let go of our most important player in January.”
