Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali was asked about the recent rumors linking him with a position at Roma.
In recent weeks, in fact, the Italian director was linked as one of the possible options to succeed former Roma CEO Lina Souloukou.
Following Souloukou’s resignation, the Friedkins turned to two management consulting agencies.
Among the names suggested to Roma for the vacant position was Carnevali.
In a brief interview with calciomercato.it outside Stadio Olimpico ahead of kick-off to Italy-Belgium Nations League fixture, Carnevali said, “Roma’s CEO vacancy? Lucky whoever gets the job.”
