After weeks of negotiations between the two clubs, Sassuolo may be ready to lower their demands for Davide Frattesi who is pushing for a move back to the Italian capital.

Sassuolo’s initial asking price of €35 million was deemed excessive by Roma who still hold a 30% sell-on clause on the Italian midfielder.

As a result of this, negotiations took longer than expected as Roma refused to match Sassuolo’s demands. The Neroverdi also insisted on inserting counterparts which the Giallorossi refused to include in an eventual deal.

However, according to Il Tempo, Sassuolo are now considering lowering their demands for the 22-year-old player. Frattesi’s insistence on returning to Roma may play a role in Sassuolo finally giving in and meeting Roma halfway in the negotiations.
