Roma have reignited their interest in Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi ahead of the January window.

However, convincing the Neroverdi to let the player leave mid-season will be anything but simply according to Italian media.

As reported by Tuttomercatoweb, Sassuolo have made it clear that they intend to keep the 22-year-old midfielder until June.

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali will also take into consideration from abroad including from Brighton, Westham and Tottenham (who all reportedly inquired about the player in recent months), despite Frattesi has reiterated his willingness to return to Roma.
