Roma have reignited their interest in Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi ahead of the January window.
The Giallorossi’s dream is to reinforce Jose Mourinho’s midfield by signing Frattesi in a mid-season deal with Sassuolo that could involve the likes of Edoardo Bove or Cristian Volpato.
However, convincing the Neroverdi to let the player leave mid-season will be anything but simple according to Italian media.
According to il Romanista, Sassuolo have communicated to Roma that they plan to postpone any talks regarding Frattesi until June.
The Roman outlet claims it would take a miracle for the capital club to find a way to come up with the €30 million Sassuolo have demanded for the player. First, the Giallorossi will have to try their best to secure the exits of Justin Kluivert, Rick Karsdorp, Bryan Reynolds, Eldor Shomurodov and Carles Perez.
