Sassuolo have done it, earning promotion back to Italy’s top flight after spending the last season in Serie B.
Now it’s official: after the derby victory against Modena and Spezia’s draw, Sassuolo returns to Serie A.
The first season in Serie B, after 11 consecutive years spent in the top Italian division, could have been a major obstacle, not to be underestimated.
But the team coached by Fabio Grosso won the competition with ease with 12 victories at home this season.
