Sassuolo reignite interest in Roma’s Cristian Volpato

The future of talented Primavera youngster Cristian Volpato remains uncertain as the transfer window winds to an end in these final days of August.

Initially rumored as a potential counterpart in a deal for Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo, the links with the Neroverdi died down once Roma refused to fulfill further demands.

Now, Tuttomercatoweb reports that Sassuolo have reignited their interest in the young midfielder and have recently contacted the player’s entourage to assess whether Volpato would be open to a transfer.

At the same, Salernitana have also expressed interest in the 18-year-old and made an inquiry for him over the last few days.
