Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi reacted to Pinamonti’s late equalizer to gift the Neroverdi a precious point in tonight’s midweek fixture with Jose Mourinho’s men.
“We are satisfied with the performance,” Dionisi said in an interview with DAZN. “There’s a bit of regret for how the result came about because we had a chance before they scored their goal.”
“We were a bit imprecise but I liked the team spirit. This match makes us understand what kind of team we need to be in terms of attitude. Today we played a fair game without possession, and we were good with the ball.”
“I’m happy for the lads,” he added. “I’m happy for Pinamonti and the team as a whole.”
