David Frattesi has been a long-time target of Roma and is likely their priority for the summer window later this year.
The Sassuolo midfielder was reportedly once again in talks to join the Giallorossi in January but Zaniolo’s refusal of Bournemouth’s offer stalled Roma’s own transfer plans.
Recently, Sassuolo manager Alessio Dionisi confirmed Roma’s renewed interest in Frattesi.
“I spoke with the club in January,” Dionisi said in an interview with DAZN. “Roma were in advanced talks for Frattesi, but I confronted the club and they reassured me he would stay.”
“I was convinced he would end up staying with us until the end of the season,” Dionisi concluded.
