Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi is intent on joining his boyhood club in the upcoming summer window.
Having been repeatedly close to a return to the Italian capital, Frattesi has already communicated to Sassuolo’s board and his entourage his desire to move to Roma in the summer despite offers from abroad.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian midfielder remains Roma’s priority for the summer. The Giallorossi had tried to re-open talks with Sassuolo in late January, as confirmed by their coach, but Zaniolo’s decision to reject Bournemouth’s offer halted Roma’s own transfer plans.
Him and Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand are predicted as the club’s first transfer targets once the window opens in July.
