Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi – currently away on international duty – once again highlighted his fondness of his brief but intense time in the Italian capital, and more importantly, his willingness at the prospect of returning to Roma.
“Being a Romanista is something that has stayed with me,” Frattesi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“When you feel good in a certain place, you are at home, you know one of your idols like De Rossi… those are things that have stayed with me.”
“I have already said that the thought of a return to Roma had been nagging me, and that’s excluding the city itself, then over time it changes, but the thought can always be there. For a Roman then I think it is normal,” he concluded.
Frattesi is one of the several names linked with a move to the Italian capital given Roma’s need to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season.
