Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi has been one of the breakout players in Serie A this season, tallying 4 goals and 3 assists.

His performances have caught the attention of several big clubs, including Roma, Inter, Milan, and Napoli.

Frattesi left the Giallorossi in 2017 as part of the deal that sent Gregoire Defrel in the other direction. However, Roma are keen on a summer reunion, which would bring him back to his boyhood club.

Frattesi is just one of the several talented Neroverdi youngsters being linked with a summer exit, including another Roma target Hamed Traorè.

However, Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali expressed his desire to keep as many of the team’s most important players as possible.

“We’ll evaluate the players who will stay and those who will leave, always considering our objectives for next season,” he told Sky Sport.

“There’s several players who are in demand by the most important clubs, but we also want to grow and improve.”

Adding, “As a result, we’ll take our time to reflect and make our considerations. Though, we want to keep a tight grip on our most important players.”
