Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali was asked about the recent rumors linking him with Roma‘s CEO vacancy.
The position has remained vacant since Lina Souloukou abruptly resigned in late September, following fan backlash over the dismissal of Daniele De Rossi.
In an interview with Il Messaggero, Carnevali said, “It’s gratifying to read and hear these things because you’re linked to an important club.”
“But today everything that concerns me is focused on the present, not the future. Now I only think about Sassuolo, and as long as there’s nothing concrete I’m realistic and I continue with my work.”
“There have been things in the past, even some important opportunities, but I’ve never had any complaints.”
