Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali discussed the future of former Neroverdi attacker Gianluca Scamacca.
In a recent interview with Rai 2, Carnevali was asked about Gianluca Scamacca’s recent transfer links with a return to Italy, and more specifically to his boyhood club – Roma.
The Italian director did not sound favorable on the matter.
“If I were Scamacca I would stay in the Premier League and I wouldn’t go back to Italy. Gianluca had an injury that affected him, and he also didn’t know the league and the language. So he shouldn’t return.”
“If he stays at West Ham, he can break through and be a top player there,” added Carnevali.
