Sassuolo’s Giovanni Carnevali: “We don’t have the need to sell Frattesi.”

Andy Mattioli

Sassuolo executive Giovanni Carnevali once again addressed the rumours surrounding Davide Frattesi.

In a recent interview with TMW Radio Sport, Carnevali said he wouldn’t rule out Frattesi staying another season with the Neroverdi in the absence of a satisfying offer.

“There’s no definite talks with any of the clubs that are interested in him,” said Carnevali. “When there will be we will communicate it to the player. We have an excellent relationship with him, he is an extraordinary boy and we will try to satisfy him based on his requests.”

“One thing is certain, if we don’t find an offer that we think is right, which must be congruous with the player’s value without the disproportionate figures that are sometimes read in the press, we don’t have the need to sell him.”

“There’s also the possibility of starting next season with Frattesi on the roster,” he added.
