Saudi PIF presents Paulo Dybala with massive offer

Andy Mattioli

Saudi clubs are not letting go of their pursuit of Roma star Paulo Dybala.

In recent days, rumors around Dybala and Saudi links have re-emerged in great force in Italian media reports.

Apparently there is so much desire to snatch the Argentine champion from Roma that in the last few hours, Mohammad Al Sa’Ud, president of the PIF Fund, a sovereign fund with assets of over 900 billion dollars has personally stepped onto the scene, writes Corriere della Sera.

This is why the negotiation between Al Sa’Ud, through an intermediary, and the Argentine was a very short negotiation: Dybala had asked for 25 million euros, the first offer was of 15 million plus bonuses, and yesterday the second offer came in at 20 net without bonuses for two years.

This was reportedly a figure that would have convinced the Argentine to accept the proposal of the Fund, which directly manages four teams – Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal – but which in recent months has also been buying players for Al-Shabab , Al-Ettifaq and Al-Qadisiya.

However, it seems like for personal reasons Paulo Dybala is not willing to move out of the Italian capital. Recently married, the Argentine is unlikely to uproot his whole life and move to Saudi on such short notice, preferring to stay in Italy.

In Trigoria it seems that no proposal or request has been received from Dybala, and it is certainly surprising that the Arabs did not purchase the Argentine by July 31st, simply taking advantage of the release clause set at 12 million.

Furthermore, the more days that pass, the closer it gets to the start of the Serie A season, and a possible transfer of the most important player in the squad would not be welcomed by the fans.
