The future of Romelu Lukaku remains uncertain as the Belgian striker nears the final stretch of his loan spell at Roma.
Despite a positive feeling between the player, the club and the city, Lukaku is highly unlikely to remain in the Italian capital due to Chelsea’s elevated price tag.
Roma are famously under Financial Fair Play restrictions and therefore unable to match Chelsea’s requested fee of €43 million to make his transfer permanent.
According to calciomercato.com, Roma have already communicated this to the Blues who in turn have began looking for potential buyers ahead of the summer.
Intermediaries in Saudi Arabia are already at work to try and convince Lukaku to move to the Saudi Pro League where had drawn interest from last year before signing with Roma.
Lukaku is expected to receive several maxi offers this summer, inevitably leading him to part ways with Roma after only one season.
