Sebino Nela: “Roma was offered Erling Haaland but Monchi rejected him”.

Former Roma fullback Sebino Nela, who is currently a director with the Giallorossi women’s side, spoke to Centro Suono Sport today and revealed that the club were offered the chance to sign startlet Erling Haaland. However, Ramon Monchi, the sporting director during that time, rejected the chance to sign the Norweigan.

“Two years ago a former Roma player proposed Haaland to Monchi: his cost was €4 million,” he revealed.

“However, the club rejected the chance to sign him and he went to Salzburg”.

The 19 year-old has taken the footballing world by storm over recent months and even made headlines yesterday after his incredible performance against PSG in the Champions League.
