Ivorian midfielder Seko Fofana is being linked with a return to European football a year after moving to the Saudi Pro League.
Today’s edition of Il Messaggero suggests that Fofana’s name has been the subject of discussions within Trigoria.
Newly appointed Roma director Florent Ghisolfi is said to have brought up Fofana as a possible solution to Daniele De Rossi’s midfield woes.
The newspaper claims that Fofana could eye a potential reunion with the man that discovered him in the first place: it was, after all, Ghisolfi who was responsible for signing him at Lens and turning him into a proper star of France’s top flight.
Roma are reportedly making evaluations with regards to their desired midfield reinforcements and Fofana – who is currently at Al-Ettifaq, on loan from Al Nassr – could become a concrete target for the Giallorossi.
