Former Roma midfielder Sérgio Oliveira touched down in Istanbul early this evening to complete his move to Galatasaray, ending the possibility of a return to the Italian capital.
The 30 year-old’s private jet arrived just after 7PM local time in Turkey where he was greeted by a small contingent of supporters and media members.
He’ll undergo his medical examinations tomorrow morning to complete his transfer and seal a permanent exit from boyhood club Porto.
He’ll cost Gala a fee of €3 million in total and will sign a four-year contract worth nearly €2.5 million (net) per season.
Oliveira spent the second half of last season with Roma after joining the club on loan with an option to buy worth €13.5 million.
Roma ultimately declined to exercise the buyout clause and Oliveira returned to Porto once the season ended.
