RomaPress – Roma are preparing to finalise their second purchase of the winter transfer market.
Porto midfielder Sérgio Oliveira touched down in Italy today in order to undergo his medical examinations and complete his loan switch to Roma.
His private flight from Portugal arrived at Rome’s Ciampino Airport late this morning slightly before its scheduled 11.25 arrival time.
Despite the frigid temperatures, several supporters were on hand to welcome the 29 year-old to the club just days after the arrival of Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Arsenal.
After stopping briefly to greet the media and fans, Oliveira was taken to Villa Stuart to begin the first portion of his medical examinations.
Once completed he’ll be taken to the club’s training center, Trigoria, to sign his contract and officially become a Roma player.
He could potentially cost the capital club upwards of €15 million between the loan fee (€1 million) plus the option to make the deal permanent (€13.5 million).
