Serie A official Marco Serra: “I didn’t say anything to offend Mourinho.”

Andy Mattioli

Serie A official Marco Serra has been suspended indefinitely and is currently being investigated for his behavior toward Jose Mourinho during Cremonese-Roma.

The Italian referee’s case is being reviewed by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office who also held hearings with Mourinho to present his side of the story.

Later tonight, the TV program Le Iene will showcase a behind-the-scenes look of the entire dispute between Serra and Mourinho.

When asked by Le Iene about what he said to Mourinho that caused the Portuguese technician to receive a red card for his outburst in the match at Cremona, Serra simply replied, “I didn’t say anything to offend Mourinho. I only told him to stick to the touchline because he was provoking the crowd,” cites ANSA.
