Several test positive for Coronavirus at Fiorentina and Sampdoria

John Solano

While many teams attempt to return to individual training, Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases continue to emerge in the football world in Italy.

Today, both Fiorentina and Sampdoria confirmed new positive cases of Coronavirus as medical tests were carried out ahead of the resumption of individual training.

The Tuscan side confirmed that three players and three staff members tested positive for the virus while Samp reported three tested positive — including one player who tested positive previously.

These nine new cases come just one day after Torino confirmed one of their players tested positive.

It remains to be seen how this will affect the potential return of Serie A.
