Sevilla are trying to assess whether it would be feasible to sign Iran attacker Sardar Azmoun for the remainder of the season.
The Spanish side are currently facing relegation and aim to reinforce their roster in January.
According to Il Messaggero, the reigning Europa League champions have contacted Bayer Leverkusen and held talks for Sardar Azmoun who is presently on loan at Roma.
The newspaper claims Sevilla are trying to convince Leverkusen to interrupt Azmoun’s loan in the Italian capital and lure him to Spain instead.
For the time being, this option seems far-fetched, but Roma are monitoring the situation surrounding Azmoun’s future.
