Sevilla manager Jose Luis Mendilibar spoke ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League final with Roma in Budapest.
The Spanish technician addressed some of the media’s questions in his pre-match presser earlier this afternoon.
“History doesn’t lie, in the last 20 years Sevilla have been the best in this tournament,” said Mendilibar. “The trophies are proof of this. People are not satisfied with good performances – they want the Europa League trophy. We have done well along the way, tomorrow we will play against a different team. I am convinced that we will play a good game.”
“Both teams will give everything to win. At a time like this, the budget of each team doesn’t matter. The only thing you can’t do is make mistakes in a game of this magnitude.”
“Roma? They have no problems defending themselves, while we want to attack. They know how to play in both halves. Roma is a tough opponent and know how to remain calm as the game grows more tense.”
